PHILADELPHIA, PA — Zenith Wealth Partners and the UnTours Foundation gathered investors, community leaders, and mission-aligned entrepreneurs at The Quorum in Philadelphia for the Spring Local Capital Markets (LCM) Showcase, a landmark event in the growing movement to keep capital circulating within local communities and into the hands of the businesses that serve them.
The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of attendees representing a cross-section of Philadelphia’s civic, philanthropic, and investment communities. Eight companies presented their visions to a room of engaged impact investors, marking the latest chapter in LCM’s rapid growth since its founding.
LCM by the Numbers
Since launching, the Local Capital Markets initiative has become one of the region’s most dynamic platforms for connecting local investors with mission-aligned businesses:
66 companies applied across both cohorts
20 companies have been selected to pitch
$8.4M closed in the fall cohort
$1.15M committed for spring cohort, early evidence of continued momentum
26 indications of interest are still active
The numbers tell only part of the story. Each dollar represents a family-owned business expanding its reach, a cooperative building a new supply chain, or a nonprofit securing its permanent home, investments that stay in our region and generate returns measured in people, not just percentages.
Our Mission: Capital Stays Local
The Local Capital Markets Showcase was founded on a straightforward but powerful premise: the businesses that strengthen our communities deserve access to the same capital networks that have historically favored large institutions and out-of-market investors. Zenith Wealth Partners and the UnTours Foundation built LCM to change that, creating a rigorous, transparent, and accessible pathway for local enterprises to connect with local capital.
To ensure every company that takes the LCM stage is truly investor-ready, Zenith Wealth Partners leads a rigorous due diligence process for each applicant. This includes a comprehensive review of financial history, business fundamentals, and growth trajectory, as well as hands-on support helping founders build the data rooms, pitch materials, and documentation that sophisticated investors expect.
The result is a curated cohort of companies that don’t just have compelling visions, they have the materials to back them up.
Of the 62 companies that applied across both cohorts, 21 met this high bar and earned the opportunity to present at the showcase. The Spring cohort represents $20.7M in total investment pipeline across sectors, including real estate, arts and culture, education, food systems, and financial technology.
